about

Logono is a Turkana tribesman who migrated south to avoid the cattle rustlers, drought and general violence of his native region. He makes two dollars on a good day, playing original songs in Swahili, English and Turkana for drinkers at homebrew clubs on major highways throughout the region. This song, in his original Turkana, is a lament for home, played on his 9-string Adungu, a massive harp (with a Ronald McDonald figure at the top) and a homemade tin drum.
